ACWL's 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL

November 22, 2009

  DIAMOND VS. MAX ALTITUDE
The first match of the night was a very quick one.  Max Altitude was extremely overconfident and made several rookie mistakes.  Diamond capitalized and put him away after dodging a moonsault.

Winner: Diamond

  BACKSTAGE
Alex Foreman approached Tanker and Storm in the backstage area, demanding that if they tell him everything they know about Hate Monger's whereabouts.  Tanker smiled at him and Foreman started to issue a threat that got lost in his throat when Storm stepped in and glared menacingly at him.  Alex backpedaled and asked them to come forward if they happen to hear anything.  The live audience, watching on the ActionTron, laughed hysterically at the humorous scene.

  STEVE MESSIER VS. OCTOPUS
Octopus came out to the ring first and talked a lot of trash, but when Messier's theme music played and the crowd went wild, there was no question who would win this one.  Steve dominated the kraken and finished him off with the U.T.I.

Winner: Steve Messier

  STORM VS. SQUID
The third match of the night followed suit, except the winner of this one showed less sportsmanship than his predecessors.  Storm could have finished the match off very early on, but continued to toy with Squid, hitting him with several overpowering attacks.  When it was over, Squid was out cold, bleeding, and broken.  Octopus came out to check on his little brother, and Storm power-slammed him for his troubles.

Winner: Storm

  FOTCHIE McBAGGINS VS. DHAMPIR
This was the most evenly fought match of the night.  With their last match still on their minds from two years ago, these two brought every ounce of bitterness into the ring with them.  Dhampir, at one point, seemed to have the match won with a 450 Splash, but Fotchie kicked out and the crowd awakened.  She fought her way back and put him away with her finisher.

Winner: Fotchie McBaggins

  HALL OF FAME INDUCTION
Mr. Wujcik hosted this first of many ACWL Hall of Fame inductions.  He came out and spoke of Steve Messier's illustrious carrer.  Wujcik sited Messier's inner-battle with Cyborg, the enormous success of his biography (STEVE MESSIER VS. CYBORG: THE TRUE STORY), his long road to the Action Title, and his uncanny run as Action Champion in the AWE season.

After this introduction, Steve Messier was invited to speak to the fans.  His speech went something like this:

First off I like to thank everyone for being here tonight, my friends, family and mostly to the fans … I wouldn’t be here without any of you and it is an honor to have gone along with all of you for the ride that has been the ACWL. Has it really been ten years, it just seems like yesterday that I joined up with a rag tag bunch of wrestlers … but ten years have gone by and I’ve been here though all of them in one way or another. I’ve seen some crazy things over the years and have been involved in my fair share of crazy moments too, but I’ve loved every minute of it and cherish all of the memories. Who would of thought that two of my own family members would join me in the ranks for a few of those years and that I’d still be in this business today ready to give it another go, but here I am. I see some faces from the past out in the crowd along with some new faces and feel overjoyed that the ACWL gets another run, I’m not sure how long
we’ll go this time … but I know it should be a hell of a good time. Now I have no clue how many matches I been in over the years, but what I do know is that I’ve always given everything I had to make the ACWL what it is today and I suggest to all the new talent to do the same. It’s a real honor to be the first to be inducted into the ACWL Hall of Fame and I will not disappoint going into this round of the ACWL, I can’t thank everyone enough for everything over the years … even those that aren’t with us anymore, you will never be forgotten as you are just as much a part of the ACWL as I am. Again I want thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to do what I love and entertain the fans and here’s to the new beginning.

The crowd began chanting, "10 more years!."  Steve Messier was shaking Alex Foreman's hand when an old, familiar theme song began to play and the entire audience fell silent.  Hate Monger, after over two-years, appeared on the stage with the Action Title slung over his shoulder.  The crowd began to boo.  Alex Foreman rushed in to grab the belt and was easily shoved aside.  Messier and Hate Monger exchanged a few words and then a few punches.  The rabble really got behind Messier until Monger overpowered him and power-bombed him off the stage.  Monger grabbed the wheelchair and was about to slam it on Messier's prone form.

That's when, to everyone's surprise, Cyborg rushed out from the back and bulldogged Hate Monger right off the stage just to the right of Messier.  Alex Foreman picked up the Action Title and backed away.

The camera finally got a good look at this new incarnation of Cyborg: he was wearing the classic Cyborg braces except he had a chest plate, forearm guards, and most importantly a shiny titanium mask reminiscent of the classic Japanese Sentai hero helmets.

Cyborg helped Steve to his feet and carried him away.  Hate Monger got up soon after and the show ended as he took his anger out by nailing Wujcik with the Choke Slam of Doom.
